This artwork belongs to my Mythological series.
Gamayun is a prophetic bird of Slavic folklore. It is a symbol of wisdom and knowledge and lives on an island in the mythical east, close to paradise.[citation needed] She is said to spread divine messages and prophecies, as she knows everything of all creation, gods, heroes, and man. Like the Sirin and the Alkonost, other creatures likewise deriving ultimately from the Greek myths and siren mythology, the Gamayun is normally depicted as a large bird with a woman's head.
I created this artwork using acrylic paint, graphic tools and markers on a cardboard (finnish cardboard with marble crump).

My new mixed-media painting of the beautiful Gorgon is ready!
In Greek mythology, Medusa also called Gorgo, was one of the three monstrous Gorgons, generally described as winged human females with living venomous snakes in place of hair. It is in the Roman poet Ovids Metamorphoses that her story is most deeply elaborated. She was lovely, according to the poemuntil she was raped by Poseidon in Athenas temple. Athena then punished her for this violation, by turning her into the monstrous, stony-glanced creature that we know. Thus those who gazed into her eyes would turn to stone. Most sources describe her as the daughter of Phorcys and Ceto, although the author Hyginus makes her the daughter of Gorgon and Ceto.

In 2016, I created the TransactionInSelfie project - and began to collect photos from around the world with hidden faces.
In 2020, it became a historical chronicle of a new reality.

We found ourselves in a closed system, where the heroes of the plots are life.
So there was a new version of the collection of figures.
I called it Figures Collection: home version. - {$M}
